Excellent Software

You guy's have put together one of the best tools on the market. Keep up the great job, and think of a way to lower the price. :) Hard to setup with mediacom voip. No one wants to give you the sip or server login.

I HAVE THIS

I have a version of this software that is licenced for 64 (i think it is(the maximum)) no. of lines, unfortunately the version I have is- proberbly long improved upon (with newer versions etc) and yet is still unimplimented by me, why? Because I am no IT expert and purchased the package around 4-6 years ago (so long ago i'm not sure exactly)and whilst setting up my IVM was simple enough using the package to sequence my OGM'S etc and wavepad to record edit and add background music to those ogms, the support from nch is non existent beyond the information pages on the website, the forums are the only assistance you will receive on this. I had great difficulty with drivers for my telephony cards and the support from NCH on this is nothing short of foul. I was actually quite disgusted by NCH. I'm actually only finding the time again to pursue this previous project and find myself on this site looking into running the project over the voip platform. There are better and cheaper packages out there that if i hadnt painstakingly recorded & sequenced over 300 ogms all those years ago, long changed over to and implemented.

Does the Job well

I paid $169 for this software (small interactive system). There is NOT a $19.95 version, so this website should be corrected. However, the program was a bargain at this price, in that it has replaced an answering service that was costing me $165 per month! This is THE ONLY Voip-capable, multi-mailbox, customizable, call routing interactive voice messaging system I could find on the market. Does it have some bugs? Of course! (The Linux version is so buggy as to be worthless.) But it does the job and does it well, and that's the main thing! As for the criticism regarding "Microsoft Sam", one can purchase voices on line or record your own messages either using the Windows voice recorder or NCH's Wave Pad, which allows you to edit your recordings, insert words later, re-arrange words or phrases, etc. This is the approach I took and it worked out marvelously. Wave Pad is available free for a 2 week trial period, and that's more than enough time to do all of your recording and editing. On the negative side, NCH's support policies are poor to unacceptable unless you're willing to purchase a support package, but I guess that's better than having a support package price rolled into the software price if you're not going to need it. Overall, a great product that fit my needs perfectly.

Not at all what I paid for.

Your IVM Telephone Answering Attendant has the voice of Microsoft Sam and there is too many features that a person has to keep paying additional cost for after getting one part which does not work without buying another feature.

Opinion

The Download page says $19 but the web site says $360. Quite a difference in price. I had trouble with vendor in past; I lost my paid-up copy of an earlier version of their software. And, even though they found my registration, they would not replace it (said they no longer keep earlier
versions) and wanted me to pay full price for another copy.

Software is a bit difficult to use, and although it has lots of features I do not recommend it as the sales and support staff appear not to be straight-forward in their dealings. Price is one issue but support is another; they were *very* slow in responding and were a bit incomplete with their help, referring folks to the web site and written instructions.

I'm not happy with them and the price thing, along with their unwillingness to keep past copies of registered software, makes them a not good company to deal with.
